Academic and other activities conducted during the session 2015-16

The new session began on 1st April 2015 with many new aspirations, dreams and achievements in different fields. On 9th April 2015 the KFS celebrated its 28th foundation day and reached another milestone. During this span the school celebrated its annual day where sports and cultural activities were conducted. Then the school went for a short break i.e. Sangken break. After re-opening the academic session was started. During this period FA-I was completed and the school went for summer break in the month of June. After re-opening in July, preparations were started for Independence Day celebration along with regular classes. During September the students celebrated Teachers Day and made their teachers happy and proud by celebrating it with prop and gay. Then the next stepping stone was that our students from Class III to X participated in National Level competition which was conducted by NAO collaborated with NASA. Our students cleared up the preliminary level and were selected for the finals. Though they couldn’t chalk any position in the finals but at least with our meager and limited resources they were able to qualify for the National level which was praise worthy. Out of 2 lakhs participants two of our students Chow Sujanna Mantaw and Mst. Vaswar Das Gupta scored national ranking of 131 and 133 respectively, which was again a very big achievement. During September we conducted our SA-I and completed our half way journey. Then the school went for a short 10 days break. After re-opening the school started its 2nd half journey. Our next venture was actually a big dream i.e. celebration of 28th foundation cum Children’s Day. Though the project was very big but as team spirit is the back bone of our school, we were able to conduct the program with support of our management, teachers and students in a befitting manner. The school also released its 2nd edition of school magazine “Kaleidoscope” Volume II which was a long paused dream. The students presented excellent program which enthralled the whole crowd present on that evening. After this grand success we moved to complete FA-III and the school went for winter break. After re-opening, all returned with fresh energy by welcoming the New Year 2016. Republic Day was celebrated with much enthusiasm and patriotism. As per the CBSE rules we also conduct co-curricular activities (CCA) to cater the need of all round development of a child. In this part we conduct quiz competition, recitation competition, reading competition, games and sports competition etc. Apart from that in order to build up the character/morale etc. a 45 minutes counseling session is also done by our Headmaster sir on every Saturdays. The session ended with the conduct of SA-II examination and declaration of results. This was just the out shell of our efforts and activities taken up during previous academic session.
